Refining critical battery materials — locally, from waste.

As the world electrifies, battery waste is growing fast — gigafactories scaling at record pace generate millions of tonnes of manufacturing scrap, while EVs are reaching end-of-life after a decade of deployment and consumer electronics batteries turn over even faster. This waste is rich in lithium, nickel, cobalt and manganese — the same critical battery materials the world is struggling to mine and refine fast enough. Yet today, most of it is crushed into black mass and shipped to a handful of geographically concentrated refineries — creating strategic dependency and sending critical materials in the wrong direction.

Lincore reverses that flow. Our electro-metallurgical refining transforms black mass into battery-grade materials locally — with zero direct carbon emissions, zero sodium sulphate waste, and modular capacity that sits where the waste is produced. No decade-long mine permits. No dependency on concentrated refining regions. Critical materials stay within the economies that generated them.

What we do

Refining capability, delivered where the waste is.

Lincore builds refining infrastructure for the partners who already hold the feedstock — so they can keep ownership of their critical materials and process them responsibly, in their own region.

01 / LOCAL CAPABILITY

We bring refining to the waste, not the waste to the refining.

We develop refining infrastructure alongside our partners' battery-waste streams. No shipping black mass across continents — modular capacity deploys where it's needed.

02 / MATERIAL OWNERSHIP

Our partners keep their critical materials.

Instead of selling black mass into concentrated offshore refining markets, our partners exit the process with battery-grade Li, Ni, Co and Mn — materials they own, on their own balance sheet.

03 / RESPONSIBLE PROCESSING

Processed within its own geography.

Battery waste is handled within the region that produced it. Regional value retention, reduced embedded logistics carbon, and no dependence on geographically concentrated refining hubs.

The process

From shredded battery waste to battery-grade materials.

Our electro-metallurgical refining uses redox-mediated extraction. The process regenerates its own chemicals — zero sodium sulphate, zero direct CO₂, and hydrogen as a useful by-product.
